Dizzy Lamb – Terms and Conditions of Hire:

The following Terms and Conditions are accepted by the “Hirer” of equipment from Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd.

Definitions

  • The Owner is Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd – ABN 20 608 628 380.
  • The Hirer is the person or their elected agents that agrees to hire the equipment from Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd upon the terms and conditions in this agreement.
  • Equipment means any spit roaster, BBQ or other party hire item listed on Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd pricelist and includes accessories provided with the equipment.
  • Price List refers to Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd price list
  1. Risk: The Hirer agrees that the use of the equipment carries risks. The hirer agrees to accept this risk when the equipment is hired.
  2. Bond. A bond of $200 may be required for all hire equipment. Purchased items from Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd shop excluded from the bond.
  3. Payment Policy -Deposit. A deposit of 20% of the hire and the delivery value is required to secure a booking. Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd shop purchases are excluded from the deposit. Deposit to Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd to be by credit card, cash or bank account deposit (details provided on request). Personal cheques may be accepted by arrangement with Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd, but must be cleared 7 days prior to the hire date.
  4. Payment Policy – Final Payment. Hired items, delivery and Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd shop purchases must be paid for 48 hours prior to the delivery date. Final payment to Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd to be by credit card cash or bank account deposit (details provided onrequest). Personal cheques may be accepted by arrangement with Dizzy Lamb Spit Roast Hire, but must be cleared 7 days prior to the hire date.
  5. Cancellation of Hire 7 Days. Notice of cancellation of hire needs to be given 7 days before the hire date. After 7 days the deposit will be forfeited to Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd.
  6. Cancellation of Hire 48 Hours. Cancellation of hire 48 hours or less before the hire date will require full hire payment by the hirer.
  7. Delivery: The cost for delivery is not included in the price list; refer to the price list for delivery charges. The Hirer agrees to ensure easy access to the site for delivery. Further charges may be added for the degree of difficulty when further time is required. Sunday Delivery will incur a $80 surcharge.
  8. Collection and Pickup: The Hirer must return the equipment to the containers delivered, in a clean and dry state and make available ready for collection by the owner. The final count and decision as to condition of the equipment returned will be final by the owner.
  9. Cleaning. All hire items must be returned cleaned and free of heat beads. Do not throw water onto hot spit roasters or motors as this damages the equipment. Allow to cool before cleaning.
  10. Lost, Stolen, Damaged, Unwashed Items. The hirer is responsible for hire equipment while in their possession and therefore is responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged or unwashed items. Includes damage by storm and tempest. The hirer needs to take all reasonable steps to ensure that the equipment is not lost, damaged or stolen and take insurance and security steps to insureAnd protect the hired equipment. Items hired, which are lost, stolen, returned damaged or unwashed, will incur replacement costs charged to the hirer. The replacement cost will be charged to the credit card used to make the deposit, unless another credit card is provided by the hirer. The replacement cost is based on the cost to replace the item from Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd equipment supplier.
  11. Unanticipated Costs or Damages. Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd will not be liable for any costs arising from bad weather, malfunction of hire equipment, failure, delay or for any unforeseen ccurrences involving the hire equipment. The hirer needs to ensure that as much as possible that these situations are covered in the planning of the event and that any costs and damages are covered by insurance.
  12. Responsibility of the Hirer. Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd is exempt from any claims or demands from the hirer or any other person, for the damage to property, personal injury, or for any other incident arising out of the use of the hire equipment by the hirer and/or other persons at the event. It is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure that their guests and other users of the hire equipment are aware of the responsibility of the hirer in relation to hire equipment. The hirer is responsible for the supervision and the proper use of the hire equipment to ensure no damage or injury occurs. This includes the supervision of children particularly where situations of heat, electricity, sharp items and in any other situation where injury could occur.

Spit Roasters:

  1. The spit roaster is designed for outdoors use only do not use indoors.
  2. Do not store flammable items / materials near the spit roaster and do not use flammable items such as petrol to start the fire.
  3. Proper clearance should be 2000mm at the sides, front and rear. 3000mm clearance above but due consideration should be given to flammable items above the spit roaster.
  4. People with flammable clothing should keep well away from the spit roaster.
  5. The spit roaster needs to be supervised and watched during operation. Dripping fat can catch fire.
  6. Avoid moving the spit roaster when hot.
  7. Only use charcoal heat beads for the fire and activate according to Dizzy Lamb Spit Roast Hire instructions.
  8. Keep the power cord away from hot parts and above the ground at all times.
  9. Do not use water to put out the fire, this will damage the firebox and could cause injury. Allow the charcoal heat beads to cool and burn out unassisted.
  10. Adhere to maximum load of Spit Roaster.
  11. Be diligent regarding the weather. Do not use the spit roaster during rain.
  12. Do not allow the motor to get wet. Damaged motors will be charged to the hirer. In the event of an uncontrollable fire call Fire Department 000

BBQ’s (includes Gas BBQ’s, WOK burners and Kettle BBQ’s)

  1. All BBQ’s are designed for outdoors use only do not use indoors.
  2. Do not store flammable items materials near the BBQ and do not use flammable items such as petrol to start the Kettle BBQ fire.
  3. Proper clearance should be 2000mm at the sides, front and rear. 3000mm clearance above but due consideration should be given to flammable items above.
  4. People with flammable clothing should keep well away from the BBQ.
  5. The BBQ needs to be supervised and watched during operation. Dripping fat can catch fire.
  6. Avoid moving the BBQ when hot.
  7. Only use charcoal heat beads for the Kettle BBQ fire and activate according to Dizzy Lamb Spit Roast Hire instructions.
  8. Do not use water to put out the Kettle BBQ fire, this will damage the kettle base, and could cause injury. Allow the charcoal heat beads to cool and burn out unassisted.
  9. Never operate a gas barbecue without a regulator.
  10. Ensure all gas connections are screwed tight and use a spanner to tighten.
  11. Always use LPG gas.
  12. Do not store spare LPG cylinders near the BBQ.
  13. Never test for gas leaks with a match or open flame. If you feel there is a gas leak contact Dizzy Lamb Spit Roast Hire.
  14. Never lean over cooking surface when lighting a BBQ.
  15. Never use your mobile phone near a gas device.
  16. If you smell gas, immediately shut of gas at its source, extinguish any open flame by turning gas off, or by using a fire-fighting device.
  17. In the event of an uncontrollable fire or gas leak call Fire Department 000

Outdoor LPG Heaters.

  1. All Outdoor Heaters are designed for outdoors use only with natural air ventilation.
  2. Do not use indoors.
  3. Always place on a flat, level surface to prevent item from toppling over.
  4. Do not place articles on or against the heater.
  5. Do not store flammable items materials near the heater.
  6. Do not spray aerosols near the heater.
  7. Do not move the heater while in operation. Wait till it has been turned off and cooled down.
  8. Proper clearance should be 700mm at the sides, front and rear. 1000mm clearance above but due consideration should be given to flammable items above.
  9. The outdoor heater needs to be supervised during operation.
  10. Never operate the heater without the supplied regulator.
  11. Ensure all gas connections are screwed tight and use a spanner to tighten.
  12. Always use LPG gas.
  13. Do not store spare LPG cylinders near the heater.
  14. Never test for gas leaks with a match or open flame. If you feel there is a gas leak contact Dizzy Lamb Spit Roast Hire.
  15. Never use your mobile phone near a gas device.
  16. If you smell gas, immediately shut of gas at its source, extinguish any open flame by turning gas off, or by using a fire-fighting device.
  17. We recommend not using on balconies.
  18. In the event of an uncontrollable fire or gas leak call Fire Department 000

Trestle Table.

  1. Erect and use tables on a flat level surface and ensure legs and fittings are locked in place.
  2. Do not stand on tables.
  3. When not in use, stack securely to prevent falling and injury

 Acceptance of this Agreement. The hirer agrees to the terms and conditions by agreeing to hire equipment from Dizzy Lamb Pty Ltd.
